What is FUSE?

It’s a top-quality West Lafayette community designed especially with Purdue University students in mind. FUSE features a variety of spacious, furnished homes plus a full set of community features such as a terrace, grilling stations and fire pit, fitness center, study spaces and more – all right next door to campus.

Is FUSE a part of Purdue University?

FUSE is a privately owned and professionally managed community. Click here for more information about the management and ownership.

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at FUSE has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.

What is included in the rate?

Each resident at FUSE pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Furnishings
  • In-unit laundry
  • High-speed Internet
  • Community features – fitness center, clubhouse, etc.

What size are the apartments?

The spacious accommodations at FUSE include studios, 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom floorplans. Nearly all apartments have a private bathroom for each resident.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes, all residences at FUSE have a furniture package that includes a full-size bed, desk and chair in each bedroom. The living area includes a sofa and coffee table. To see a sample of the furniture and other finishes, please visit our model home.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is August 17, 2027 to July 21, 2028, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Limited alternate dates are available; please inquire with our staff.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

Within 7 days after a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to do one of two things: provide a qualifying guarantor (often a parent), or pre-pay the final 2 installments.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. FUSE offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at FUSE?

Your living costs at FUSE can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at FUSE. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is FUSE open to non-students?

FUSE is designed and offered for students at Purdue University or other local colleges.  The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind.  Therefore, applications are accepted only from students at one of these local colleges or universities. FUSE is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes student residents with children, at no extra cost other than regular charges for each bedroom space selected by the resident. In order to match student roommates in shared apartments with college students, roommate consent is required for any occupant who is not a college student.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

FUSE has a monitored fire-sprinkler system, along with electronic locks for building access plus individually hard locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.

What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?

FUSE is a no-pets and smoke-free community. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of roommates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

Can I park my vehicle at FUSE?

FUSE offers plenty of on-site garage parking for an additional cost.

What other transportation options will I have?

FUSE is directly across from the Purdue University campus and is within walking distance of public transportation, with a bus stop just steps from the front door.

Can I see a model apartment?

Yes. Please request an appointment for a personal tour or just stop by to see us and we’ll be happy to show you the community.
